The Zen'ji Written Language

Lol. We need to lower the number of consonants in the first group (of the last post on page one, I think) to nine (due to my obsession with tripple-symmetry), either by removing some of them, grouping them or leaving some for diagraphs.

Oh.

No ideas, I guess?

So far I think I'll just go with grouping simmilar sounds (eg. "f" and "v" could be the same letter or maybe "ff" could represent the "v" sound or vice versa).

Similar to German, then?

I have no idea. Maybe.


Anyway, W, Y and H have been moved to the other consonant group. The back Z is no longer in the alphabet, as that corresponds with a vowel, I discovered. B and P will henceforth be one letter (single letter = P; diagraph = B ) and there will only be one letter for the clicks.

I might have to make a letter (or at least some kinda punctuation mark) to indicate pauses (in the form of momentary closure of the vocal orifices) within words. Humans would interpret this as an "N" (hence why many Xen'vi words have n's in them, even though Xen'vi are incapable of creating that sound).

Such as the word "Xen'vi".

Lol, exactly.

Though it probably wouldn't work if the N is at the start of a word, so we'll probably have to change words like "Nyrander".

Right. Because it wouldn't make sense to start off a word with a pause.
