| Now, let's think of energy saurces that don't yet exist, perhaps? | |

| Exactly. I wonder how energy would react to a slip-rift... (Slip-rift = a "rip" in spacetime that exist for only a fraction of a fraction of a second when an object enters slipstream space (in other words, jumps into extra dimensional space).) | |

| There are many Energy types I can think of. Ridiculous as they may seem. Vacuum Energy to Zero Point Energy. Cold Fusion to Perpetual Gravity Shields. I have thought of several, in fact that could work if the laws of thermodynamics could be removed. And some that would work regardless. (Those are based on wild theories of mine though which would classify me as Insane by the government and their Bureaucratic Idiots.)
I am sure your creativity can imagine it as testing it is kind of out of the question. But remember the golden rule in physics. What is unexpected is surprising, but anything that can go wrong will go wrong. In other words, make is simple, and shocking.

| Are any of your ideas simple and shocking? | |

| Entirely simple, shocking... but they are perpetual and according to thermodynamics impossible.
My first idea is a wheel in space. It would be 'connected' to a space elevator. It would be perpendicular to the elevator. A single solar cell is required to start it spinning and it magnetically stabilized axle would have almost no friction. (App. .1% of regular axle friction.) It would power a generator farther up the shaft. (Electrical resistance poses a problem in this model) The electricity would power the elevator and the station/wheel All excess energy would be sent to Earth. There would be at least 8 or these wheels on each elevator. That should be enough to power a country the size of England. These could be made even more efficient with solar panels and solar wind "turbines".
Solar wind "turbines" work on one of the same principles as wind turbines, except radiation not wind, the sails would be thin and expensive.
Other than that. Fusion is close enough for me. Deuterium and Tritium into Helium, GOOOO!!!!!!!

| That sounds pretty cool. Perhaps we could have one of those elavator things for each state?
And exactly how far from possibility is that?

| The only problem I foresee is that it is insanely expensive, and having too many would cause a few problems. And extremely dangerous to build. It is possible just not likely to be very efficient for a couple years.
How about major states have these, while the other less important (politically and Resource wise) states have another source of power. Like Geothermal or Nuclear Fusion.

| *TV* Why one per state? Just stick them practically. It's different from a capital, you don't have one power plant per state, you have them where they're needed.
*Balu* How much of a threat would space debris be and how will Humans have developed ways to get rid of space debris. (Since if they didn't everything we tried to remove from the atmosphere by then would be destroyed by everything we've stuck up there in the last 300 years.)

| I still lean to Nuclear and Geothermal. Solar can be used for lots of those small things, much like how we do things today. | |

| Lets make something new and impossible that will power the world in theoretical physics in the Futuer.
Nuclear power is a lie, they use rodents and wheels to really make the power.

| Lol.
As long as it's not completely impossible and at least somewhat practical, we can use it.

| Puppies.
Use puppies as fuel.
I still side with Geothermal and Nuclear.
