I don't think baking soda and vinegar would work unless it were practically plugged. Magnesium and CO2 doesn't seem like a viable reaction. But I'm probably wrong.

That's the problem of a different atmosphere. You have to completely rework the chemistry of everything on the planet to make it feasible.
