Help the Hunters try to kill David! =D

Okay, so you all know how unbarably boring the first few chapters of the book it, right? So I wanna add a scene somewhere early on where the Hunters make an attempt on David's life, but also makes it look like an accident.

Any ideas? Any ideas at all?

I'll read the first few chapters again to see if there is some place to add something like that.

As for ideas as to how it would happen, I have no idea.

Well, I wouldn't call the first few chapters boring, and I don't really see where you could put something like this in.

Some would beg to differ...


Anyway, there's a fairly big available time space in the third chapter, at his first day of work. I also skip half a week or something at some point.

Well during that half a week he could go for a walk outside or something. I dunno. Have evil trained animals attack him.

Yeah, he doesn't see the outside too often early on...

And he should, 'cause one would expect him to be like, "Wow, alien planet! I'm going to go see whats here instead of staying inside!"

Totally. I have four off days in which to come up with something (no school until monday). I'll let you guys know which chapter I edited when I repost it.


Also, guys, this is depressing. My awesome school is closing due to financial issues...

So, if I randomly stop posting next term, it's because I hate my new school and committed suicide. 8D (That was a joke.)


Also, I'll be on vacation in *shudders* Namibia from the 22nd of this month (in a week) to the 6th of July. In those two weeks I'll stare at sand, potentially die of boredom and attempt to work as much on the novel as possible.

Has anyone ever thought... maybe... Sabotage? David goes out for a walk or something and an out of control vehicle of sorts crashes through the forest. David steps into a clever vine trap and is stuck. You can come up with the rest from there.

Or maybe... they some how put a hallucinogen on or in something he touches or drinks, then he goes out for a walk... The STUFF makes him start seeing well stuff. The hunters try and lure him to a pit or something.

It would be very hard to try and kill him if he is surrounded by humans. Unless the Xen'vi are infact allowed into the human residential areas of Darwin

Those are interesting ideas Balufire. I especially like the hallucinogen one.

Nevermind this. I've already solved the boringness problem. And the sollution ended up not having anything to do with adding a new scene. ^^
