Exams are fun!

Especially the fake ones where the teacher tells you to make sure to read all instructions before starting and then on the last page of the exam it tells you to do nothing but write your name on it and give it back to the teacher.

I love those exams.

One time we had an exam over everything, where it gave us a hint as to how to answer the questions. It turned out that the first letter of every other word in the instructions was A, B, C, or D, so I followed my hunch and got an A. 90% of the class got less than a 50. You'll never guess what class this was.

I know I never have, never am and so most likely never guess what class it was but I sure hope you rubbed it in your peers' faces.

It was Communicaton Applications. Our teacher was a teacher-coach-bouncer-comedian-all-around-different guy.

What grade are you guys in? I don't have classes like Communication Applications.

Anywho, I hate exams and I hate school. I hate the common establishment, actually. I'm a highly rebelious nerd.

I dunno, the "establishment" seems to be relatively okay.

I don't like school and certainly look forward to getting home every day but I definitely don't hate it in a true manner.

I don't hate school. It's either fun, or insanely boring. Depends on what classes I have.

It can definitely be fun. There have been days where I'm sorry the class ended. And not just ones we're having a party in.

We rarely have party's. Except after our unofficial spelling bee in English class. Which I always win.

Sweet on the spelling bee, at my school the grades are cut up with teams, EX:

8th Grade:

Cheetahs

Rhinos

Wolverines

Penguins

Each grade has its own teams, and each team has a party every 9 weeks.

Weird. Not at all like my school.



Our school (a high school that goes from 8th to 12th grade) is divided into three "houses":

-Aureus (my house - theme colour gold or yellow)
-Ceruleus (don't really care how they're spelt - blue)
-Viridus (Aka "Virus" - green)

We just had our inter-house athletics tournament (WTF!!?? It's frickin Summer in Oudtshoorn!! Let me explain - we're surrounded by mountains, so it's like we're in a pan - the heat gets amplified or something. Plus we're in the middle of the Little Karoo, which is semi-desert-ish. Today was about 45 degrees Celsius) today. Aureus won, as always. B)

By the way, our entire school only has 103 kids. IN TOTAL. Most grades are a single class. In tenth grade (which I am in, starting the begining of this year) there are 29 girls and only 6 guys!



Edit: And maybe "hate" wasn't the right word. I basically meant it's not something I'd like to do anthing for. I don't believe in stuff like school spirit and patriotism, you see.

I think it's useful, as long as you don't take it too far like people all to often do with it.

I have the advangtage if living in the deciduous belt of the world so I'm safe from life threatening heat waves and tiny schools.

I do know kinda how you feel with the girl part, though probably not to the same extent, I'm one of five guys to 30 something girls in an elective course, though only in one class, so not quite as bad as you have it.

My school goes from Kindergarten to grade 11. There are over 1000 students.

There were only 5 guys in my class last year out of 30 people.

My school has 1500 students. And two grades, 9 and 10.

Comm Apps is our speech credit that we have to take in order to graduate.

And I live in Texas, so I (sort of) feel your pain, Void.

Around 1000, 6th-8th grade. Virginia.

I have it easy, except for the cafeteria. But I won't go there.

Over 1000 students in only 3 grades? O_o

And I thought my school was crowded...

Well, it is Virginia, and 1000 is the highest estimate I'd make. Perhaps I did over estimate, tell you the truth I don't know the actual number.


But it's not too bad, the bottle necks are hell though.

Still, its a lot of people.

I like running through crowds of people and trying to get past all of them. I have to get to the cafeteria quick too, before all the microwaves are taken.

Same here, there are the slow kids, the medium kids, the clusters of talkers and the idiots who stop mid-hallway, along with the racers who tend to be skinny and nerdy who try to dodge everyone else but tend to get trapped behind the clusters. I'm the very last category. OF a number of things the bottlenecks cause me to curse beneath my breath the most.

And the cafeteria, when I'm buying lunches I make it my duty to try and outpace everyone else. Usually it works unless the teacher holds the class back to get in that one last slide. Then you have to wait for 5+ minutes if you're lucky.

My school doesn't have microwaves though, sounds like you have at least one luxury.

Question, does your school consider a bent fork a dangerous weapon? Because mine does.

Lol, thats just like what i do.

My school doesn't consider bent forks to be dangerous, but they kick people out of the Science Fair if they trip and hit a table, causing no damage to anything whatsoever.

I don't think I've ever seen a school cafateria in South Africa in my entire life.


Anywho, I don't know about you guys, but I love being in a tiny shcool. I HATE crowds. They depress me. I seriously cannot survive in a crowd. I'm too different. In a tiny class, you have to accept people for who they are - bullies are no-existent in my school.


And pain? What pain?

I don't know how bad bullies are actively are in my school, I usually notice a good bit of gossip but usually I never here of much else, not that I would though I suppose.

Okay.

Tons of gossip in my school. And stupid people.
