School Stuff

Hey, just like mine!

Not so much gossip in mine. Everyone knows everything about everyone else. It's the beauty of a tiny school.

Yeah, small numbers can be nice. As long as you're popular or normal.

Large numbers can be nice too. I'm not exactly how they can be nice, but i'm sure they can in some way.

I got to skip French class today to play hockey. I'm happy.

I sat through two exams.


But had no school yesterday.

Why would you have no school yesterday?

Snow/Sleet/Rain.



I bet you Canadians get out on school when it's sunny and warm.

Hahaha, no. Then we'd only ever go to school in winter.

We never get out of school. Unless the buses explode, but that has yet to happen.

Try saltpeter, sulfur and charcoal.

Just mix them up into a powder and fill the engine compartment of the bus with it.

Well, actually, you learn to accept everyone. Either that or you yourself gets rejected.

And unlike most larger schools, the friend groups aren't made up of nerds here or jocks there. We're mixed. There's not even that much of a barier between the grades.

I love it.

I like a large school. Because... Because I do.

I have two projects I have to finish for Monday. I need to finish my public speaking presentation and finish some stupid French oral presentation which I have yet to start.

I have a major science fair project that I've put off till I only have a few days left.

At least it's only one.

I bring my lunch. By the time I actually get to the cafeteria, the wait is 15+ minutes and lunch is 25 minutes long. All I do is buy ridiculously cheap and ridiculously good cookies.

Your schools are completely different to ours...

Nope.

Exactly.

Uniforms are just another reason why kids in America go to public schools.

Because a lot of private (not government-run) schools require them. And they're more expensive. And they have terrible music programs.

We have uniforms, but only for Physical Education. Really expensive too.

I usually bring a non-microwavable lunch, because it takes too long to buy one or microwave something.

Only uniforms for Gym, 14 bucks, not much I suppose.

Ha ha. Marching band gives me all my required PE credits.

Marching band gets people in as many colleges as sports. Just more under the radar, given that it is against the rules to march over the age of 21.

Hmm. Never been much of a musician myself.

I'd say about 90% of ALL South African schools have uniforms, including government/public schools.

Ha ha. Silly South Africans. America is so much dumber than you. That's why we're awesome.
