Ideas for the RP

As long as my character can make a cameo appearance then I'm fine.

Who here isn't a mod? Do we even need them? As long as we have someone with locking abilities to take care of a random spammer it's not necessary when dealing with only five people.


I'd prefer to be some leader of a band of nomads and veteran militiamen staging attacks on the enemies of the Jay'Vi. I made myself a character sheet already.

I'd like to be... um... a scientist, I guess. And an Aari'vi merchant if I can have multiple characters.

Surprisingly enough we've just got back on topic!

BTW if you beach your ship near my hunting territory your family will have a ransom note by the end of the week.

I'm sure you'd be willingly to trade for the large number of precious gems and delicious foods I will have acquired in my travels

I was thinking of Arquebus and gold.

If you insist. I will have many different items for sale.

We need to finish up making the clans and flora, maybe a few more species of fauna, so we can start the RP. It will be epic.

I just made one of those flora Dudeman wanted, but I guess I'll post it on the creature thread rather then the RP.

The good news is that your fruits are filled with toxins.

Bad news is is that most things just dig you up and eat your tuber and leaves.

Guys, if we play before the time of the book, the plot my end up crashing with the novels' plots (highly not good) and human/Xen'vi communication will be pretty much non-existent.

Sounds great? I think we could really just ignore the book and have fun with it. It's really just about enjoying oneself and maybe coming up with ideas or plots for further work with the book.


Perhaps we could simply use a relatively odd language and just change up a portion of the words making use of the originals grammar to simplify the written parts.

I still vote for the alternate time line.

The RP should take place before the books, as Lichen said.

I think just any sort of timeline moving as a seperate entity then the actual books would be good.

My character in the RP will be Maltese.

Now, any ideas?

The Taco Gazelles of Pluto have invaded the Universe are now threatening to destroy Earth with their meaty evil! Only You can save the world by allying with the Burrito Lions. Will Earth and the Universe be saved?! Do you really care?!

Somehow I feel you guys will say no to that.

But more on-topic, I say look at the lives of some of the inhabitants of Novuvsita, both Human or Xen'Vi. Say the lives of several Humans or Xen'Vi (depending on what people design their characters to be) and how their worlds interact and change with the introduction of humans.

I think I'll go and make that into a roleplay on the Sporum. Would anybody join?

Anyway, for the Newlife RP I say we do what Lichen said. We could start out just going through their day to day lives on Novusvita, then later go on to a plot similar to that of the book. (Iga'vi attacking people, wars amongst the Xen'vi, etc,.)

Of course having their lives continually interact as in:

My character raids your character's ship and holds yours hostage, gets the ransom but instead of releasing him to his home he leaves him in the desert to die.

Things like that.

And then my character survives somehow by befriending a giant death worm and goes on to murder your characters entire family.

But my character's actual family is either dead or has abandoned him.

He's adopted by a local lord.

With body guards. Lots of them.

Not to mention my character is the leader of the local militias.

Who don't like giant death worms.
