Well, all of Greenland is actually its own country called Lichania and is the world's leading super power....

Because this is the future, I am guessing that the International Space Station is complete, and now looks rather like one of those Space stations in those Japanese animes... I large spinning wheel with various space docks and some sort of massive weapon on the bottom. Mass driver or reflective mirror would even be more typical...

You should also rename the UEF to the Xenonian Empire.

Why would they name it after the largest stable noble gas?

Because it's large and stable.

Yeah, I can imagine the space station to be like that.



On the topic of space, lets move to space travel. This is sorta what I'm thinking for a travel system:


Spaceport (on Earth) --> ISS (International Space Station) --> Spaceport (on colony in solarsystem) OR [ Planet hub --> Moon/asteroid base/mine ] OR Safe enough distance to activate Slipdrive --> Extrasolar system --> Spaceport (on extrasolar colony).


I can imagine only the smaller ships flying up to the ISS and then having all the giants "parked" (perhaps even constructed) there.

Large ships should definitely be constructed on the ISP.

Space Travel, well, we can pretty much make everything up as long as it sound possible and reasonable. Since we are well beyond trans atmosphere shuttles, the entire field is open.

Also all ships will porbably be assembled in space, their components made on a colony or Earth and then sent to space using space elevators.

Thats what I was forgetting, Space elevators. Yes, we need to figure out how to propel them. We also need to remember that these are for space docks as well as for the Solar Panel energy. They will probably be made of a Carbon Nanotube material and a variety of layers of other materials.

@TemporalV01D Don't forget, if you're making a new map to include "Southern Sudan" (or whatever they end up calling it). Especially if it's still in the unfederalized region.

@adrac: I haven't gorgotten yet. I'm just making sure the map has no other problems. What about the division of India, for example? With its majority belonging to the AER, a portion of its south to the IEF and that squiggly bit between Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Burma to the USA.

So yeah, basically all the big ships will be built on the International Space Ptation (xD), while the tinier ships will be built in colonies or on Earth.

Everything on earth has existed as it has since the present. Earth is infinitely more advanced, but the advancements don't involve anything other than the possible reverse engineering of crash landed ships in the desert.

I really don't believe in sentient aliens visiting Earth. Like ghosts it's just a bunch of balony, though probes (as in fly around and research) I suppose could be visiting us, but considering realism, I find it unlikely, considering book, possible.
