This is where we'll talk about the countries, states and federations of the future, their developement and the future world map.

Right now, there are three things I think we need to look at:

-Which other extrasolar planets have humans colonised / any ideas for other extrasolar states?

-Which two (or more) non-federalised countries (as in the grey countries) are likely to do best? They will get the two free slots of Antarctic territory.

-FeSA needs a new flag. Here's a template-type thingy:

I also still wanna make a state-map of the Moon and Mars, though I probably won't, and I'm gonna post a zoomed-in look at each continent where the state-map is concerned.

You're awesome because you made Texas a state by itself. Very Happy

Other than that, we would probably have to make stuff up for extrasolar planets.

It is the perfect size for the average Global economy state.

What about their governments? I'm not talking specifics but what kind of government and economy would be helpful in my dystopian imaginings.

How did you decide the names of the different states?

There's no Ireland!! OMG

Ireland forms part of the Great Britain state, along with the United Kingdom.

I came up with the names by looking at various maps on Google. I chose the borders of the states based on existing "subregions" within countries that I also found on Google. Oh, and Wikipedia was a great help.

Dunno. How do you think gigantic federations should be governed? I have thought of how the governments could be divided into smaller and smaller mini-psuedo-governments (such as municipalities), though (things in angular brackets are sometimes skipped, depending on size of country-thing):

Type A: (Eg. The United Earth Federation) Federation --> [Sector] --> [Region] --> State --> Province --> District

Type B: (Eg. South Sudan) Country --> [State] --> [Province] --> District

Type C: (Eg. The Vatican) Autonomy (I'm pretty sure that's the wrong word) --> [District]

Do you have a map of these different states?

It's Autocracy I do believe.

I meant leaders, branches, houses.

For the UEF, the leaders should be a mix of benevolent dictatorship and democratic republicanism. Four branches; Parliament (by another name), The Council, Leader, and Chancellor. Parliament is legislative, The Council is Judicial, Leader (and Cabinet or advisers) and Chancellor are both in the Executive (Essentially a two house Executive)

The chancellor is elected directly by the Parliament from the parliament, where as the Leader is elected by the People. (Preventing a full takeover by one house.) Chancellor has more influence in the Parliament but the Leader has more influence on the Council.

In the event of death of any of the leaders of the houses/branches an Immediate election is held instead of a progressive elimination.

The names of the groups are just in general, I expect different names of course.

There is you just have to look closely at the original map...

And you have to cross-reference what you see on the map with the list of states I gave, 'cause the quality of the map sucks.

Also, I think each state should have its own sub-governing party, elected by the people of the states.

Do we really need to go into so much detail? REALLY?

No, not really. (But I'm also gonna use this version of the future for three other completely unrelated stories. Very Happy
